Paul Curley

Paul is a performer and writer with particular expertise in making theatre for young audiences. As a devisor and collaborator he has worked with a wide range of companies in Ireland and the UK. Some recent work includes: Happily Ever After (Action Transport Theatre UK); An Ideal Husband (The Gate Theatre); FARM (WillFredd Theatre); The Bockety World of Henry & Bucket (Barnstorm Theatre); Assassins (Rough Magic SEEDS); Mr Benn (Tall Stories, London). Most recently he has written and performed Bake! a new play for 4-6 yr olds, presented at The Ark, Riverbank Arts Centre and Draíocht. Since January 2013, Paul has been a participant in Six in the Attic an Irish Theatre Institute resource-sharing initiative.

For Pan Pan’s International Mentorship & Bursary Programme 2014/2015 with Tim Crouch as mentor Paul intends to find parallels and tangents between Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray and the life of his 85 year old aunt who is a nun; the ambition is to explode ideas and to reassemble the pieces in search of a new theatre performance for audiences young and old.

Paul is currently touring a theatre piece for a young audience, Bake!
You can check details on touring dates in Bake!’s facebook page.
