International Mentorship & Bursary 2014/2015
Mentor: Tim Crouch
Hilary’s work sits at the intersection of performance, technology, and design.
She has worked on stage and screen with many companies in Ireland and created new works with her company Playgroup, among them Berlin Love Tour which was nominated for numerous awards including Best Actress at the Dublin Fringe and Irish Theatre Awards.
Hilary designs and produces interactive work under the name of Make and Do and has been commissioned to create interactive play based art for the Science Gallery, Dublin Festival of Curiosity, and Drogheda Arts Festival among others. Hilary recently completed a residency at Project Arts Centre. Her residency was based around the idea of cultural acupuncture as a stimulus for city based creativity that is not limited to artists. As part of her residency she created Prototype, a festival of Play and Interaction.
For Pan Pan’s International Mentorship & Bursary Programme 2014/2015 with Tim Crouch as mentor, Hilary will work to develop a new performance piece, Hilfest, about failure and the sometimes twisted entertainment value of effort and collaboration.
