THE LAST GREAT IDEA
The Last Great Idea is an international residency that will focus on how to sustain experimental practice over a long-term artistic collaboration. Partnering with leading New York institutions, Nature Theater of Oklahoma and Hyperjetlag Arts, as well as four independent performers, Pan Pan will create an innovative space for collaboration, transnational exchange and relationship building.
We aim to explore innovation in theatre and performance in terms of form, aesthetics and idea generation relating to real life and to different and diverse communities. We will search for originality, authenticity and a way to communicate our findings to an audience. This residency will allow us to re-boot, re-create and sustain our process for making work for the future. We will examine, discuss and document our previous artistic methods in preparation for the next phase of our journey.
The Last Great Idea will take place in New York in Spring 2024, supported by the Arts Council's International Residency Award 2023.
