Since completing an MA in Scenography at Central St. Martin’s, London in 2002, Lian has worked as a set designer, arts manager, and artistic collaborator with some of the most significant arts organisations and contemporary performance makers in Ireland. In 2015/16 she was Campaign Director of the #WakingTheFeminists campaign for equality for women in Irish theatre.
Lian began working with Pan Pan while still in college on the first International Theatre Symposium in 1996. She has worked freelance for the company in various capacities ever since – from being assistant director and sound operator for Mac-Beth 7, to coordinator for the book, film and performance project ONE: Healing with theatre, to line producer on A Doll House and Everyone is King Lear In Their Own Home. Since 2012, Lian has developed and managed the Pan Pan International Mentorship programme.
